Beate Scheller (Studio #28)
First Look Friday Participant
Mainly I do printmaking, in different techniques with the use of Lithography stones, but also with copper and zinc plate. I also create images on plexiglass plates, called drypoint. The original hand-pulled prints are always small editions, and have been represented in online shows, in group- and solo-shows over many years.
Along with the b/w printmaking I always painted, but more on smaller canvases or wood boards. My paintings are more colorful, creating landscapes and nature inspired images with a twist. The paintings sometimes include a natural botanical, collected, and pressed, or have a fantasy element.
My drawings are done with ink pen and pencil, colored here and there with pencil or watercolor.
Beate will be hosted by Linda Gaudin (Fiber, Textiles.)
