Kim NewDelman (Studio #32)

I strive to create pieces that truly uphold form and function. When using objects for everyday tasks, utilitarian collides with pleasure. Allowing you to pause and feel into the moment of performing the task at hand. Drinking your favorite tea or ritual morning coffee or watering your houseplants that you nurture and reciprocate by cleaning the air you breathe. In my surface design, I tend to let the form speak for itself with very minimal color variation. I think often about the space between things, negative space,  lines that connect, and lines that should meet but don’t, but still flow over the form without creating visual tension.

Kim will be a guest artist of Jeri Bee/Bee Creative Pdx (Jewelry). Jeri will also be hosting Lisa McCutcheon and Steven Walgrave.

NOTE: There are no stairs, however part of the walk to the studio includes a bark chip path.
